Defiantly easy for beginners, nicely written.

The notations on the page to guide the player for fingering is kind of light and harder to read for an older person.

I am pretty good at music- at least I used to be. I got a couple of ukuleles that I really like. I have messed around with them, but really don't know the chords. Yes I can figure them out eventually, but my life is such that I don't have the time to do much of anything that takes thinking. I wanted a book to spring off of. This turned out to be a good one.SECTIONSMUSIC THEORYThis takes you through a basic understanding of a few basic notes and rhythms that you will have to read in this book.PARTSThis goes through the parts of the uke.PLAYING CHORDSHere you will learn to basically do fingering and work through the fret board to play the chords you will need to learn. This will teach you how to read the fingering charts along with the notes you will be strumming to and where each note in the song is located in the chord.SCALESThis has the written scales on it and the fingering on the strings to play these scales.SONGSI know that many think that these are children's songs, but honestly, most children today are not familiar with most of these songs unless they are educated at home. They are appropriate for children to learn and they also are fun for adults who might be doing this as a hobby diversion to relax. The songs will bring back memories.CHORDSThere is a chart in the back of the book which outlines the different chords on the uke. That means you can make up your own songs and use these chords to spring off of once you have gained the confidence to do so.THE BOTTOM LINEThis book is a pretty good intro book. It has basics in it to learn and provides a springboard to do your own music once you have the confidence to do so.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. This is a simple book, but it has more songs in it than I expected. Would I buy this again? I think so. It has everything I needed to get me primed on ukulele, but even if I was a complete beginner, I think I could grasp it too.

The title of this product is a bit confusing, as it’s most definitely for beginners and not “suitable for all levels”. I wouldn’t call it a lesson book, since just 7 of its 64 pages actually cover details about music theory and the instrument itself. The remaining pages are songs which likely only children would be interested in learning to play.Even so, the song pages are nicely laid out. Chord diagrams with finger positions are at the top of each followed by standard staff notation as well as tab, all color-coded making things easier to visually reference.A chart of 56 common chords and a note scale is at the top of very last page. One suggestion I’d make to the publisher is to move this to the front along with the other general information there, as it’s probably the most important page in the entire book.I’d only recommend this book for beginners, and it’s perfect for youngsters. If you set your expectations accordingly, I’m sure you’ll be satisfied with this reference material.

This book is easy to read and follow. The TABS are done in color and are vibrant and in color. Each page is a song, and some songs are two pages. There are fifty songs and each song is a children's favorite. I teach Ukulele to my kids and have been doing so for a few years, and I made the mistake of purchasing very popular Ukulele TAB books, but they were not beginner friendly. This song book is very beginner friendly and the TABS are clear, concise and easy to read. In the back is a collection of Ukulele common chord TABS that are great for creating your own songs. Paper thickness is fine, the book doesn't lay flat very well, but no TAB book I have does. I just end up using heavy duty over sized binder clips to hold music books to a music stand. The only caveat I found that isn't a true deal breaker considering that this book does include 50 songs is the "Jingle Bells" is only the first part of the song, and not the whole song. Maybe a licensing issues, or couldn't add all the pages, etc.. However, it is an easy song to learn and if needed I can just print out the rest of the lyrics.Overall, very happy with these songs, a great selection that is very familiar to me and many kids here in the US.
