At time of ordering this was priced at £17.99.It works fairly well, the app could be louder when the alarm is pressed and there is also a good 20-30 second delay from pressing the button to the alarm going off.The biggest disappointment is that to work effectively you also need the hub which has to be purchased separately.

The Voca smart wifi wireless emergency SOS button, well, it's a simple enough gadget. You pair it with your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, which is pretty standard these days, and then link it to an app on your phone (Tuya or SmartLife). Basically, if someone needs help, they press the button, and you get a notification on your phone, wherever you are. It's meant for elderly folk or anyone who might need to call for help quickly. You can share the alerts with other people too, so it's not just you getting the notifications.The button's portability is excellent, fitting easily in a pocket or worn using the lanyard that’s supplied with it. It's designed for simple alerts, sending app notifications over Wi-Fi when pressed. While this works well at home, where Wi-Fi is readily available, it’s not something that can be taken out of the home and used. Also, the app gives you free push notifications, which is fine, but you'd have to pay extra if you wanted it to call or text you, which is a nice option to have and seems reasonable to me.I tested the device and found it reliable. I set it up for my parents to enhance their safety, allowing them to send alerts when needed. The ability to share alarm notifications via the app is a significant advantage, as it guarantees I am also informed, providing added peace of mind for me too. This is almost an excellent little SOS device.. almost.It includes a neck strap, but can be stuck to somewhere convenient (ie inside a bathroom, on nightstand next to bed, by the front door) using the included sticky pad.It's easy to set up - I already use the Tuya app for many smart home things, so as soon as it was powered on and put into pairing, it appeared immediately ready to pair.Within seconds of pairing, it had added itself to my Alexa app as a device, and after a further 10 minutes, I had myself a good Alexa Routine set up where pressing the button results in the lights going red and Alexa shouting "Danger! Call 999!".I could do so much more with routines, it's great! Alongside Alexa, it did also trigger a notification on my phone, though as my phone stays on silent 100% of the time, it was easily missed, so adding in another routine to call or send me a message would be more useful.That's all good, and sounds great.. but.. the WIFI antenna on this is not so great. I can be sitting in my living room with maybe 5 meters distance between myself and the router with a wooden floor between us, and sometimes it may take 30 seconds from pressing before it actually manages to send out a notification. The closer I get to the router, the faster notifications get sent out.So unless you live in a small open-plan bungalow or apartment, you will certainly need a very strong 2.4GHz network, perhaps using mesh Wi-Fi or repeaters.This would be a 5/5 IF the Wi-Fi antenna was better.

Tested on WiFi and with my phone on 5G - nice clear alert and alarm from the pendent on both. Easy to set up and easy to use without the unit being obtrusive. Recommended for older people, people with disabilities and lone workers. Adds a tier of security and safety for each.
