First off, I was so thankful Inline Warehouse stocked these on here...I got a gift card for my birthday, so I was finally able to afford them! Thank you guys!On to the product itself: the size was perfect for fitting between my knee pads and skates. I was skeptical, however, of the one long velcro piece that holds them together. I had been using a cheap pair of mountain biking shin pads prior to these, and they fastened via 4 independent velcro pieces on each, making it easy to fit the whole length of your shin. I took care to pull the velcro apart carefully on the Ennui pads since, again, it's just one long velcro. Fast forward to not nearly 2 months after using them, the right pad has stretched out so much that it will not stay in place, to the extent that I have a nice fresh bruise on my right shin from landing on the coping not 30 minutes ago. These were used about once to twice a week up until last week, when I started skating every day.

I have over the years very rarely used protective equipment like this, mainly due to the poor quality of items and they either fall apart after a few uses and getting a bit sweaty but generally they don't last. However, these shin guards are probably one of the best things I've bought and they don't feel like they hinder my skating at all I can still move freely and forget they are there after a few minutes. I usually air them out after every use and they don't hold the smell like other kit does. Very impressed I would recommend and save those shins!
