Unfortunately, the item arrived with some damage, which did effect the way in which it functioned. With some changes made, the item does work as described but the damage is still present , but not to require a refund.

I am a relatively new powerblock customer. I have had the u90 powerblocks for almost a year. They are amazing and would recommend them to everyone. The dumbbells impressed me soo much I decided to try the kettleblock. I have used it a couple of times a week and once again I am not dissapointed. Changing the weight is quick and easy, especially towards the end of a workout when you are exhausted. I was worried I didn't need so many different weight options and could just use 1 or 2 bells. So far I'm glad to have so many options since I use it mainly for Cardio workouts where I need to change weight quickly and often. The grip is wide and smooth. Very comfortable and the kettleblock Swings just like a kettlebell. For the most part you can't tell the difference. The only con is the block sides and edges can bruise up your forearms during snatches. I'm beginner to kettle bells, so I probably don't have the best form. I got some kettlebell wrist protectors and they have really helped. Overall if you want a wide variety or kettlebells, but don't have the space or money, then this is the way to go.

I did not like the power block (other product) due to hand placement but I bought this due to the u-tube vids and other reviews on mulit sites. I am glad I did, I have had it 2 months, Easy, fast, simple, plenty of hand room (even 2 handed)Color to weight reading is easy, sturdy and next to no movement at all which makes it quiet. The the balance of the block is almost perfect too so you forget it is oddly shaped/square verse a ball1 down side MAKE SURE YOU GET a kettlebell forearm pad, due to the sqr shape and a few minor semi sharp edges you WILL get your arms marked up with out it.

I have been using the Kettle Block now for a couple of weeks and am really happy with my purchase. I have converted a single car garage into my home gym, so space is a concern for me. The fact that 8 different size weights occupy the same space as a single large kettle bell is a fantastic feature for me! The handle is large and has ample room if you have large hands. There are also no seems on the handle, very smooth and has a heavy-duty feel to it. It's very quick to change weights and the sizes an color coordination is very easy to ready. My wife and her friends also love using the Kettle Block! Shipping was double boxed and flawless. I am so happy with this purchase that I plan on buying a second, one for each hand!

It's a rarity for me to write reviews as there are usually so many already. However, since there are only a few reviews on Amazon for this product I felt compelled to throw in my two cents...I am a big Powerblock fan and have been using their adjustable dumbbells and benches for years. Their products are very well made, work extremely well, are very reasonably priced for what you get, and their customer support is outstanding. In my home gym I have four sets of their dumbbells (Classic 50, Classic 90, Personal Trainer 50 and the 24 pound Sport women's version) as well as the flat travel bench and the adjustable bench.About six months ago I decided, on a complete whim, to try a Bob Harper Kettlebell workout CD that a friend loaned me. A knee injury was preventing me from running so I was looking for an alternative cardio workout that did not require running. I was completely shocked at how effective the kettlebell workout was in this regard and I became hooked immediately. Soon thereafter I began looking for an adjustable kettlebell for the same reason I use the Powerblock adjustable dumbbells--I work out every morning in a home gym and space is an issue. To my surprise there were quite a few different adjustable kettlebells on the market from a variety of manufactures. I came very, very close to buying the Stamina 36 pound adjustable Kettle Versabell (http://www.amazon.com/Stamina-36-Pound-Adjustable-Kettle-Versa-Bell/dp/B003DQSTCY/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1400356247&sr=8-4&keywords=adjustable+kettlebell). It looks like great design and a good price but I was worried about what would happen to the plastic shell if I dropped it. Thus, in the end I went with the Powerblock 40 pound model here. I have had such great luck with Powerblock's products over the years I figured I could not go wrong. Now, after using it several dozen times, I can provide the following insight to others regarding this device:PROS:1. Well built and solid. I have, unfortunately and to my great surprise, dropped it several times while exercising and it didn't do a thing to it. I am actually shocked at how tough the new flex-plate design is. I am not sure if this would stand up to a beating in a cross training gym, but I would be surprised if any home user could break it short of throwing it out the second story window...2. Price ($199) is good for the versatility and various weight range provided.3. The handle is excellent. I thought I would need to wear gloves but that turned out to be unnecessary. Perfect for two handed swings (large opening and thick metal handle).4. Weight changes are super-fast and positive.5. It makes little or no noise at all while in use.6. With the minor issue noted below, it is completely safe and there appears to be no way that one, or any, of the plates could come loose while the device is being used.CONS:1. Unfortunately, due to the design, the edge below the handle is not as round/smooth as I would like it to be. Specifically, when doing "snatches" or other similar exercises where the kettlebell is swung over and resting on the forearm (i.e., the "rack" position) there is considerably more pressure on the forearm than with a traditional kettlebell and a lot more than the newer style kettlebells that have the flat sides. I found that I was able to overcome this issue in two ways. First, I learned how to do the exercises correctly such that the kettlebell did not slam into my forearm. There is a special technique involved that is really quite simple and one just needs a little practice to get right. Once you do that there is 100% less pressure on the forearm. Watch a good training video or get some good instruction and you will see exactly what I am referring to. Second, I bought some Kettlebell wrist guards. I bought the ones from Kettle Guard that are available on Amazon and they work very well (http://www.amazon.com/KettleGuard-Kettlebell-Wrist-Guard-Version/dp/B00GOZ1RS4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400357164&sr=8-1&keywords=Kettleguard). At $20 I think the price is ridiculous for what you get but they do work well. The ones made by PowerBlock appear to be identical and are half the price. With the two of these in concert I no longer have any issues with my forearms.2. When using the single plate setting (12 pounds--one plate on each side) I found that my forearm would actually push the selector pin partially out and the plate would only be held on by one side of the selector pin. Upon further inspection I found that there was a small looped piece of metal on the retaining bar for the first plate stack that was turned into where the selector pin made contact. This prevented the selector pin from making a full and positive magnetic contact. I was able to twist the bar about 90+ degrees and it is no longer an issue. The problem did, however, make me wonder why in the world the looped piece of metal was welded on to the bar as it is completely unnecessary to keep the selector pin tether in place. Who knows?!?! The bottom line, however, is that once I twisted it around the problem went away. This is a simple fix and, based on other reviews, I suspect my unit was a factory defect as no one else seems to be complaining about the issue. So, probably not something to worry about and an easy fix with a pair of pliers.Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I would recommend this device to others. I still wonder how the Stamina model would compare side-by-side but after dropping the Kettleblock a few times I am glad I bought it instead. I am not sure if this will be a problem for most people but it certainly has been for me and I have never dropped a dumbbell or anything else in the gym in 25+ years. At least I have not sent it flying into the wall...yet....With respect to home workouts I highly recommend the FitnessBlender series on YouTube and both of the Bob Harper videos that are available on Amazon. Many guys may scoff at the thought of doing a Bob Harper video workout at home. Trust me--do the workout and you will think otherwise. Just like his Yoga video, both of the Kettlebell workouts are awesome and not just for women. One last comment: If you think you will never need the heavier weight stack I would strongly encourage you to get PowerBlocks' other model. Specifically, they make a much smaller model that is only around $99. It only goes up to 20 pounds but for many users who are only looking at a cardio workout that may be sufficient. It also has the advantage of being about half the size of the 40 pound model. On the Amazon site you just need to select the 20 pound version instead of the 40 pound version as they are listed together on one page instead of as separate products.
