Sono molto soddisfatto del NEEWER Filtro Diffusore Morbido Bianco 1/4. Da quando l’ho acquistato, lo tengo costantemente montato sull’obiettivo.Cosa mi piace:• Effetto di diffusione morbido: Il filtro crea una luce soffusa e piacevole, migliorando il tono e la qualità delle immagini senza perdere dettagli.• Utilizzo versatile: È diventato un accessorio fisso per le mie sessioni fotografiche, adatto a ritratti e scatti in ambienti con illuminazione naturale o artificiale.Conclusione:Un filtro che fa davvero la differenza e migliora ogni scatto. Good quality, sturdy, cheap, fits in my canon eos r50 with no problem and it gives this dreamlike cottagecore vibe to the image that I love. I never take this filter off my camera. Works as described and it couldn't be easier to use

You won't notice much of an effect if you use this on a wide-angle lens, not for portraits, and on an overcast day (no specular highlights/low contrast). It's just like a subtle matte effect in that scenario. This kind of filter works better on telephoto portraits and/or scenes with contrasty lighting/specular highlights.I attached screenshots of four unedited raw photos in an editing program so you can see the difference in highlights detail loss (in red) and shadow detail loss (in blue), plus their histograms. These are two sets, both shot with a 35mm on an overcast day, one at f/8 and the other at f/1.4.You can see the subtle matte effect not only in the filter bringing up the shadows on the wheelchair where there was detail loss without the filter, but also in the dark parts of the trees getting a little washout.I think black and white diffusion filters are a little more useful for videography, where it's a lot more convenient to get a systematic effect in-camera. But if you know you're taking portraits and you want smoother skin, or you are capturing flames/lights at night and want a glow, this is a nice photography filter.It's easier to understand the skin-smoothing effect if you think of skin pores as being like pockmarks on the moon. They're a series of contrasty highlights and shadows. A diffusion filter either spreads out the shadows (black diffusion) or spreads out the highlights (white diffusion) to lower the contrast, making the pores/bumps not stand out as much.I have a small number of beautiful pictures I've taken with a diffusion filter, but they were planned—like a birthday party where I knew I'd get a shot of someone about to blow out their cake candle, or a portrait I want a softer look with. Otherwise, I don't think I'll use this filter without a specific idea in mind, since I can add a subtle matte effect in post. So just think about whether the effect you want can be easily handled in software, or whether this kind of filter fits a specific look you want with specific scenarios.

Okay, okay, we all know that you can do pretty much all of the effects in Photoshop - or at least my wife can because I don't have the patience to learn it all...However, there's still a place for taking the shot al fresco as it were. For me it's just a bit more authentic and if you get it right, I reckon its better than post production.This Neewer filter is up to their usual standard which is to say, excellent. I've got quite a few of their filters because they are both fantastic value and at my level as good as anything costing far, far more.Quality of manufacture is excellent especially considering the cost. Frankly, why pay more?

Very good quality soft white diffusion 1/4 filter mist from Neewer, Neewer just keep producing top quality products.I have heard of black mist filters but have never tried it myself and I have to admit until I saw this I have not heard of white mist filters so I thought I would give this a try.I have only been using this for a very short time and I’m not sure if I like or dislike the effect it has on images I definitely don’t hate the look but I am just undecided. I won’t go into the technical side of it as you will probably know more about it than me but I will describe it as it softens the light/highlights in your image so if you have something that is white and there is light coming of it it defuses the brightness I have heard a few people refer to it as blooming. The two photos with my review will show it better than I am explaining but you can see the tree likes a little softer with the filter on.I am not sure where this filter sits in the filter strength scale I am sure there will be stronger versions from Neewer but I like the fact that the effect is very subtle and unless you was there taking the image you probably would not notice the difference.The filter is very lightweight and slim so even with the filter on I can attach a lens hood to my lens with no issues which is a big bonus for me personally.Does with a cleaning cloth and a card plastic case to protect the filter when you are not using it or travelling which is a nice touch.

Tried this filter out in the studio, it gives your subject a soft look. It does the job it is intended for, but I am not sure how much I would use it as you can do the same using different lighting set ups in the studio. For a novice photographer it could come in quite handy!
