No issues with the tape. My daughter approves.

Renfrew is my favorite brand of hockey stick tape so far - I prefer it to be a bit tacky because it will stay put. I don't play any hockey, but I do like to wrap this stuff onto a katana handle. It sounds "Trailerpark" as hell, I know, but the stuff works great. It does cover up (and protect?!) the pretty handle parts, but the grip is improved enough that I can easily overlook the esthetics.I haven't had a katana handle wrap come loose or fall apart yet, with this (admittedly) imperfect and (barely) adequate method.I taped a handle without removing that shrink wrap, just to see what would happen - and it works just fine like that..It's simple and inexpensive enough to replace after too much use has uglied it up a bit, or if you just wanted to change the color.Renfrew stays put, where some other inexpensive brands tend to unravel and fall apart. And I'm not going to spend nine bucks (or more) for a roll of tape..I prefer black for a katana or wakizashi handle, but I use other colors that are easier to find in the grass, for throwing knives.

This makes an excellent wrap for a framing hammer haft.- Unroll approximately 2-1/2' of tape and make a single wrap about 3" down from the head of you hammer.- Holding the hammer level to the ground, spin the hanging roll of tape so that the remaining +2' of tape twists into a cord- Holding the hammer vertically, wind the cord down the haft in a spirel and then back up so that it overlaps in a checker pattern- As you return to the starting point of the wrap at the top of the haft, your cord should 'end' and lay flat again- With the now flat tape, from the top, wrap it back down the haft and back up.- A double wrap at the top and you're done.

I have an older Chevy S-10 pickup with a steering wheel grip that was disintegrating. I used a designed wrap for a replacement, but it became a pain as it would loosen and become a nuisance. Why not some kind of tape? I saw where hockey stick tape was employed by a YouTube woodworker as a way to make wood clamps handles and hammers more hand friendly, especially if you have arthritis.I took off the old S-10 steering wheel wrap and used the tape. So far, so good. Not loose and is firmly secured to the wheel. Has a little tackiness to it as well. As of this writing - happy with this budget solution.

Best hockey tape. Renfrew wins. Stays on the blade, doesn’t peel. Can usually get 2 skates out of a tape job, could get more but I’m picky.
