Delivered very well protected in a sturdy carton, this lightweight microphone feels pretty durable, and offers decent sound quality.Made primarily of plastic, zielsound's KM8S is both lightweight, and durable feeling.Touch controls on the top, and front, of the microphone let you control the lighting, ANC and mute, with a clickable dial at the bottom controlling the microphone sensitivity and monitor volume.As a Gaming microphone, it has RGB lighting, with several effects.Luckily, the microphone remembers its last selected mode, so you can turn the effects off, and not worry about them turning back on the next time you restart your PC.A simple, but effective, pop filter is included, as well as a simple table stand (but with no shock mounting 🙁), as well as a basic microphone arm.Being plug and play, the microphone is quite simple to use.Just plug it in and go!Of course, for the best sound quality, you will want to open the settings and switch it to 24 Bit 192 kHz, as well as adjust the sensitivity.Once this is done, the KM8S sounds decent, but not exceptional.Compared to a similarly inexpensive microphone from a well known German keyboard manufacturer, it sounds a bit hollow, and, for lack of a better term, less rich.The onboard ANC works well enough, but it does incur quite a penalty to the overall sound quality.My personal preference is to dial the microphone sensitivity in correctly from the beginning, then fix the rest in post (or use nVidia Broadcast, if in a meeting).I can defiantly see the onboard ANC being useful in several situations though, especially as the processing is all done on the microphone itself.A few big pluses for the KM8S are that it includes both a pop filter, and microphone arm!Even if competing microphones can sound better, unless you can get them off the table and close to your mouth, they likely will not sound better.And, of course, once it is next to your mouth, a pop filter is required, else your sound quality will suffer.Since both of these are included here, it can really make an average microphone shine its best!I do have a few nitpicks about the microphone.The touch controls can be both overly, and underlay, sensitive.That is to say, sometimes you want to use them and your presses will not register, and other times it will register a press when you are not trying to.I feel the RGB control is more likely to not register, while the ANC/Mute control is more likely to falsely register, on my particular microphone.A bigger issue for me though, is that the volume dial is one of the infinite spinning types, and has no indicators showing how high/low it is turned.Due to this, it takes a bit of trial and error to get everything tuned in, and can easily cause issues, if someone starts playing with the dial when you are not looking.I would really like it if the dial design could be revisited, or at least, have the RGB lighting indicate the volume level as it is set...Overall, while there are better microphones at the 60€ (at time of writing) price point, none of them I am aware of include both the pop filter and microphone arm.Seeing as how both of these have a huge influence on the end sound quality, I would still call this quite a compelling package.Especially if you are a gamer, and do not want to use any of your computer's resources for noise reduction, zealsound's KM8S package is well worth trying!

A good quality mic that attaches to anything with USB-C (or an adaptor for such) and seems to give good quality audio.It's a little showy, I think, but kids/teens will love having one for their "streaming" or gaming because it does look the part. Has a nice strong arm to attach it to desks or similar and that can be tightened up quite a bit to give you a bit of security while still allowing the arm to be moved around a little.Sound quality was good enough, I can't say that it's miles better than other mics I've used but I'm not an audiophile and it was indistinguishable. But a nice fancy setup for a budding podcaster or someone who doesn't want a headset.I manage IT in schools and it would be great for a "radio station" for the school and similar uses.The front shield is a little flimsy in its attachment and would break off with rough handling, but there's no reason something else couldn't substitute. The mic itself is sturdy and decent, as is the arm.Not bad for the price, but it has a feel of a standard mic attached to a nice arm and in a nicer case than usual, rather than an ultra-high-quality item.

My son edits videos for quite a few YouTubers so I consider his experience to be quite significant compared to mine.The design is quite standard and you can adjust the height of mic arm, plus it has some funky RGB Lighting (10 lighting modes, including 7 static colours, a single-colour cycle, a dynamic multi-colour gradient, and a breathing effect) that will look cool on live streaming or recorded video.The set-up is very simple considering you are not connecting it to a retro Windows OS and you get an adaptor for iPhone/ iPad.Very good sound quality but that also depends on the software you are using to record the voice and process it. Definitely a handy design in terms of volume controls and muting the mic.Comes with everything needed to install/ set-up and looks well-made, especially considering the price point.
