Als ich das Sieb heute aus der Spülmaschine nahm (wir spülen mit maximal 55°), hatte sich eine Griffschale gelöst (siehe Foto). Das haben wir vor rund fünf Monaten gekauft und es war vielleicht 20 mal in der Spülmaschine.Abgesehen davon war ich mit dem Sieb von Anfang an nicht glücklich, weil der Griff viel zu schwer ist. Legt man das Sieb leer auf einen Topf oder anderen Behälter, dann muss man den Griff ständig festhalten, weil es sonst runter zu kippen droht.

Some sieves are made cheaply but the handle on this one is riveted and much better quality than most

This sieve arrived wrapped in a plastic bag with a cardboard attachment with branding and information. Made of stainless steel this sieve by MasterClass has a good fine mesh which is perfect for sieving powders through such as icing sugar or flour. In my opinion this sieve is too small for draining pasta as the image suggests.The sieve is dishwasher safe but equally it is easy to hand wash. It is lightweight and because of the incorporated soft grip to the underside of the handle it is comfortable to hold too. It has a very solid construction and because it is made of stainless steel it will be rust resistant. The sieve area has a diameter of 12.5cm and an overall length of 30.1cm.Priced at £15.19 at the time of reviewing this sieve comes with a 5-year guarantee but considering it is relatively small unless you are a keen baker and will be using this very frequently it may be worth buying a cheaper model. I do think it looks very stylish though and is good quality – I will be using this reasonably frequently so 4 stars.
