This is one of the most useful things I have purchased this year. I have been using it to strip off bitumen sealant from an Airstream, as almost everything else I tried either damages the aluminium skin or clogs up almost immediately.This gets the balance just right and is perfectly suited for relatively soft materials.Because the tip is so thin it's also great for stripping old sealant out of window frames, which I haven't really found anything else for apart from Stanley knives and swear words.One tip is not to bend it too much as it will eventually start to crack where the Flexi blade attaches to the tool, but I got some good mileage out of it nonetheless.It's a bit pricey but it's cheaper than using 20 flap wheels to achieve the same thing and to be honest if I hadn't bent it so much it would probably still be fine.I've tried the erbauer ones from Screwfix too but they aren't quite as pleasantly bendy.

Bin enttäuscht von Makita der Schaber taugt nicht wirklich, Fliesen und Kleber abschaben hätte ich mir einfacher vorgestellt! Mit der alten Methode Hammer und Meißel gings viel schneller.

I bought this for removing stuborn wallpaper and its fantastic. The wall paper in my house had been painted over so many times it was proving very hard to remove in some areas. Almost glued to the wall!This scraper took off the surface layers with ease allowing me to get in with the steamer.The quility is great, however after also buying cheaper options out there (bosch) I would say the price is a little high. You're mostly paying for the Makita brand.
