You get what you pay for. Didn’t last overly long, but protected the heels/foot, which is why they were bought. Probably not tough enough for really muddy days.

Great product

We breed a limited number of hunters. At it 25 years. The 4-5 year olds get their first set of front shoes and tend to strip them off until they learn where their feet are. PLUS, Fl wet weather softens the hoof making a strip off easier. . Rubber bell boots are cheapest, but a pain to put on & off twice a day. Velcro rubber bell boots: Velcro degrades quickly. These bell boots endure the best of the models we’ve JUST tested. PLUS the farrier advises this model since these are a bit thicker, the offending hoof tends to slide off this bell boot, missing the shoe on the receiving hoof. The only down side is, you have to rinse these more carefully than rubber bell boots.

I use a lot of LeMieux products and like their overall quality. I have several pairs of the leather over reach boots which I really like so thought I would try these, they're not terrible but they run small (I have large) and don't have the same fit as the leather ones. Also the velcro closure is not the same design and while it is strong the bottom corners want to curl up so I know over time that will be a problem. I'll stick with the leather ones for riding in the future and use these for turnout on a smaller horse.

Very comfortable boots- my horse wears them when exercised and in the field and they haven't rubbed or caused irritation. There is a dent, where some of the material has rubbed off, in one of them but I'm not sure if that's due to over reaching or nibbling.
