It took some time to get a feel for how this splice block and the tape lockdown tabs work.For 1" and 1/2" tapes the lockdowns work perfectly, but for 1/4" and 1/8" they require some effort to get them to fit into the grooves. So much so that one spends more time trying to keep the tape in place while just getting the lockdowns secured. I finally got fed up and just lightly filed down the edges of the 1/4" and 1/8" to get them to fit cleanly and securely. Now it works the way I would have expected, even if the chance that my modifying the edges was not correct to the design.Instructions for this product would be useful, but since none came with it, I had to guess on how things work, or should work.Further, there are two small pieces where the purpose of which I have not quite identified.So, in summary..Function 4 starsIntuitive design 3 starsAbsence of instructions 1/2 starAverage rating 2 stars
