This dash cam has a premium feel and is great value for the price. The image quality is super clear, both during the day and at night. I installed it on my Toyota Camry and am thinking about upgrading to a higher-end model with a rear camera. The app works smoothly on both my Pixel Android 13/14 and iPhone iOS 18, and the interface is really easy to use. I saw a review mentioning connection issues, but I followed the KENWOOD Dash Cam Manager Initial Setup video on YouTube step by step, and everything worked perfectly for me. I’d recommend it.

The camera performs very well. Linking it to my iPhone was easy enough. Thw mount went well and appears to be holding well. We'll see once the summer comes.

The mount is rigid. Will not swivel to align camera in best view. Ability to not swivel also affects where you mount it.

Just received and testing. Seems good so far, but my mistake - I watched a YouTube review for the A301 - not this A310 - model, and it included a suction cup mount. This unit does not. I need that because I'll be using it in rental cars now and then. The included adhesive mount should be adequate for my car, but note that there is NO adjustment for vertical/horizantal positioning. You get what you get. EDIT: this is incorrect, there is a ball and socket mount that does swivel considerably. It was just very tight and felt like it would break before it came loose to swivel. I actually accidentally got it swiveling while trying to pull the camera off the mount. I read another review with the only comment that it does not swivel. Apparently that person had the same problem, but never discovered their error.I see many aftermarket mounts, but none list this camera specifically. I've ordered one that has a picture that looks like the right mount configuration, but who knows if it's the exact right size? We'll see on Saturday.ALSO NOTE that the manual recommends:1: mounting the unit behind the rearview mirror, but also2: keeping it out of direct sunlight. Both options are not possible in most vehicles. The menu system is fairly clear and direct, especially compared to the previous camera I used, a Boblov unit with oddly labled buttons and strange operation. (That camera had an internal battery that failed, unreplacable, so lost it's date/time ever time it lost power.)The unit is a little smaller than I expected. I think that's a good thing.I like the ability to 'protect' a video with an easy-to-locate button on the side. I've seen a few traffic situations that I would have liked to have saved on the old camera, but hunting them down (or forgetting and having them overwritten) made it less likely that I'd actually do it at the end of a long drive. The Protected videos go in a separate playback folder on the camera, so they're easy to find.I haven't played with the phone or desktop app, but they look useful. A few functions, like having the mic muted, seem to be available only on the app,There is no battery (or 'supercapacitor' like the 301 model). It only works when plugged into power. What looks like a battery icon on the display is listed as a G-force level indicator. Some functions (vibration detection for getting bumped while parked) require a 'kit' to plug into continuous power if your 'cig lighter' power shuts off with the vehicle.I'm a ham radio operator (K4AAQ) and my wife has a dashcam in her car that wipes out the VHF ham band with S-9 'white noise', even with an antenna outside the car. I've run a quick test with a handheld radio, and I don't see any interference from this radio on VHF or UHF.The GPS icon kept blinking (indicating no satellites) until I went into the Setup Menu/System Info/Satellite Signal menu, which quickly showed good signals from all satellites, even inside, downstairs in our two-story house. Then the main menu icon stopped blinking. That seems wrong.Every time I stop recording to enter the menus, when I leave the menus the unit automatically starts recording again. That's annoying while testing inside, and will probably save my bacon sometime in the car.I have tried the SoeKoa aftermarket mount, which does NOT list the A310W as a compatible camera, and none of the mount adapters fit the A310W. They have a variety of widths for the flange that would slide into the camera body, and one of them is close, but none of them are 'deep' enough. The A310W's slot is recessed just a little too much. I'll keep looking.
