It’s a good microphone but it gets lose easy and the screws that support wore out and fell out.The biggest disappointment is I tried to email them on Amazon and they ha e not answered for weeks. Do not buy this if you want support from them.

This mic is on the heavy side so if you have a cheap type boom stand you might want to keep an eye on the weight of that. The dynamic range of a human ear is 20Hz to 20KHz so they are claiming this will pick up all of those wavelengths which I find a bit misleading especially when in the product description at the bottom it claims 40Hz to 16KHz which is a big discrepancy. I have no O Scope or spectrum analyser to prove that but they need their copy people to proof those claims in my opinion. I took a star off for that.Having said that this is extremely easy to get setup on. It has XLR and a USB interface to a mixer or computer so that part was a no brainer. It also has volume up, down and mute buttons that are easy to get to and work well. If you decide to plug headphones into the mic it has a long press on the mute button to switch between both mic and phones. It comes with a screw in boom stand adapter and it is easy to install. Also comes with a pop filter which is always a nice addition. The sound quality is very good for vocals and being a cardioid mic it will eliminate the background noise from the back and some from the sides which works great. For the price I think this is a good podcast or live streaming mic. Not for serious pros though, but the price point is right.

I bought this mic for streaming and recording for video projects. It was simple to follow the instructions to set up even for this guy who has never done this before. I just know all the streamers I watch always say #1 thing to buy is a good mic, everything else can come later. So I chose this one because my budget is limited, and I am quite happy that I did.Now I have only had this out of the box for about a week now, and I have run both test streams and recorded some audio and so far I like the way it all sounds. I live in a downtown area so securing complete silence to record is an impossible dream. But this mic has been doing a good job of picking up my voice and limiting to eliminating the background. I mean fire station across from me; don't expect any equipment to ignore that.In brief: Attractive, easy to set up, good voice capture in less than ideal local conditions, and very well priced for beginners on a budget.

This mic is a solid option if you are looking for the SM7B dynamic sound signature but don't want to shell out $400, plus another $100 or so on a cloud lifter. Sure, it lacks the clarity of the real deal, but it gets you most of the way there and average listeners wouldn't be able to tell the difference. What you must do, however, is run this microphone on XLR mode through an audio interface to get the most out of it. The built in USB preamp and ADC are usable, but they make the mic sound muddy and distorted compared to what you can easily get with XLR.The mic has great background noise rejection with its tight cardioid polar pickup pattern. This means that you must speak directly into the square end of the mic, and it will not pick up much of your voice from the sides. I had a washing machine running in the same room and it could not pick up the noise, which is a benefit you won't see with condenser microphones. An interesting part about the design of this mic is that you can operate it in both modes - simultaneously XLR and USB. This means that you can potentially record to two different audio devices, or record into XLR while using USB for a headphone out (I wouldn't recommend the latter it if you already have an audio interface to plug your headphones into). Do note that the mute button has no effect on the XLR output, even if the mic is powered on through the USB port. Now for some sticking points, the foam pop filter came with many wrinkles out of the packaging, and even after letting the mic sit for a week they haven't all come out. Since it's a square shape, it'll be hard to find a suitable pop filter if you aren't satisfied with the way it looks. Next, upon disassembling the mic, the heavy weight comes from some steel bars glued to the inside of the body, rather than being heavy from high quality components. The actual microphone capsule and electronics are feather-light. This gives me mixed feelings, but at the end of the day, the mic sounds good and you need the extra weight for certain boom arms like the Rode PSA1 to stay down instead of springing up. The included XLR cable is absolutely horrible. The connectors are very rough and will damage your audio interface port if you use it, due to the force you have to apply to insert and remove it. There are many affordable and good quality XLR cables out there, but please do not risk using the included one.Overall, the negative points I mentioned do not detract from the value you are getting with this microphone, and if you want to start a podcast or simply chat with your friends on Discord, this is a great option to get you started.
