The replacement part arrived in an obviously damaged box ( No internal protection to the pump at all ie. bubble wrap) there was no obvious physical damage done. The old one was replaced with the new one but would not work. After removal and internal inspection, we ascertained that the the reason the pressure switch was inoperable was simply that the steel baseplate was bent by 2-3mm, thus preventing the switch from working !!! ( This was not caused in transit but by poor quality control and fitting.) By using the new switch's diaphragm etc we got the old one working again with no more problems !! Disgraceful really as the time and money it has cost with the Engineer etc is 10 times the cost of the part in the first place - all done to manufacture and quality control !!
