This seems to measure accurately. It uses two larger batteries rather than the small button cells in some similar digital caliper I looked at.The larger batteries are both good and bad - they are good for long battery life, not as good if you prefer a smaller calipier head.

I turn a lot of wooden bowls, and this tool is perfect for measuring wall thickness and consistency. I have a number of iGaging measuring devices and all of them are innovative, durable and well-designed. They are priced reasonably and are a great value in my opinion. I highly recommend them to anybody working wood or metal.

I store this in its original package, used it for woodworking and now it’s gone haywire. I had to edit my review, because after changing the battery, it is working again.Great value for the price and solving the ability to measure concave thickness’s.
