Mine was tricky to fit as the other shower fittings where slightly different..so had to reinforce the tile board......otherwise it would have taken 10 minutes to fit instead of 5 hours.

I ordered this shower as our existing one had the temperature control and power options on the same dial, meaning if I turned the shower to 'cold' it would also turn off! This shower solves these issues by having 2 separate power and temperature controls on either side.The installation seemed fairly straight forward for the plumber I hired, the hardest bit was replacing the tiles where the old shower had left holes.The price is fairly high, however 'Ideal' is a well known brand and the product is of high quality, and therefore I'd have no issues paying the price with the reassurance it will last a long time.The shower head included is more than powerful enough. It is a little on the smaller side however this is not a bad thing when you want to pick it up and spray areas of your body as it is very light.So far we have had this installed for 3 weeks and had no issues whatsoever. This is a standard fit shower, almost identical to my previous shower but cheaper in price. The thermostatic bar shower mixer seems good quality, solid and well made and it comes with a comprehensive instruction booklet for fitting, use and maintenance (I have already learned to wipe off residual water droplets after a shower to help maintain its appearance).The shower head has 3 settings: outer spray, full spray, massage (click to each setting) and is approx 75 cm across measuring from the outer holes (not the actual shower head itself). The height is easily adjusted with the bracket supplied. The safety temperature of 38C is easy to override up to a maximum of 43C if desired by pushing in the button.The only thing I would improve on is maybe have slightly larger fins/grips on the handles to make it easier to turn it on/off and to change the temperature, because although the handles are not unusually stiff it can be more difficult for arthritic or weak hands (especially when they're wet).

Finally got round to getting this installed. It was quite easy as I already had a mixer shower just had to make new holes in the tiles for the bar that holds the shower head. Quality is good, good brand too as I have ideal toilets. The head is a standard screw head so if you want to change it you can. I replaced it with an LED water saving head and it works fine.The controls work great and they are accurate. The issue with my old shower was it either scalded me or froze me and this mixer set is great, I was able to set it to the temperatureI wanted and it actually stayed at the temperature the the whole duration.It has a chrome finish so I would not use abrasives on it. I have used Vitakal on my old one and I took the surface off so fingers crossed this one will be okay. Very happy with it and a good price to pay.
