Negli ultimi anni ho trascurato molto il mio guardaroba. Dopo una lunga malattia e un periodo in ospedale, anche il solo pensiero di fare shopping mi pesava. Ero esausta, debilitata, svuotata. Ma recentemente ho deciso di cambiare passo. Volevo ricominciare a scegliere per me, a rinnovarmi, partendo proprio dagli abiti. Ho 29 anni e, dopo tanto tempo, sto riscoprendo il desiderio di sentirmi bella, viva, sensuale. Di rivedere il mio corpo, dimagrito e asciutto, non più come qualcosa da nascondere, ma da valorizzare con dolcezza.Quando ho visto questa gonna in tulle, ho capito che volevo provarci. Di solito indosso solo pantaloni, spesso neri, blu scuro, tagli maschili. Ma ero stanca dei colori spenti, delle forme rigide. Avevo bisogno di leggerezza, movimento, femminilità. Il design a strati asimmetrici mi ha colpita subito: qualcosa che fluttua, che accompagna il corpo invece di comprimerlo. Avevo voglia di un capo che mi aiutasse a esplorare un nuovo stile senza sentirmi fuori posto.La gonna, una volta indossata, ha fatto proprio questo: mi ha dato modo e spazio. Il tulle è morbido, leggero, non pizzica né dà fastidio, e la fodera interna, anche se non lunghissima, fa il suo lavoro. Non c’è trasparenza eccessiva, almeno fin sotto il ginocchio. La parte bassa invece resta più leggera e traslucida, cosa che a seconda della luce può risultare un po’ audace. Se siete timide come me, consiglio di abbinarla a collant nude o coprenti. In estate, però, può diventare un bellissimo gioco di velature con le gambe scoperte.La fascia elastica in vita è un altro punto positivo: non stringe, resta al suo posto e disegna bene il punto vita. L’ho trovata comoda anche nei giorni in cui mi sento più gonfia o affaticata. La vestibilità è abbastanza fedele alla taglia. Io ho scelto una M e mi veste bene, senza segnare troppo.La silhouette che crea è davvero armoniosa: accompagna il corpo e al tempo stesso lo lascia libero. Mi sono sentita più leggera mentre la indossavo, quasi come se stessi riprendendo possesso del mio spazio nel mondo. L’effetto visivo a frange e balze dà movimento, e ha quel tocco di teatralità che ti fa sentire speciale anche con un semplice top bianco infilato dentro.La gonna è versatile: con una camicia e tacchi diventa perfetta per una serata elegante, con una t-shirt e sneakers è adatta anche al quotidiano. Io l’ho indossata per una passeggiata in centro e mi sono sentita osservata… ma in modo bello, come se stessi emanando qualcosa di nuovo.Unico difetto, se vogliamo essere pignoli, è che la fodera potrebbe essere più lunga per sentirsi del tutto a proprio agio anche in controluce o al sole diretto. Nulla che non si possa risolvere con un paio di sottogonna corti color carne o neri, o una modifica sartoriale per le più precise.In sintesi, non è solo una gonna. È una piccola promessa a se stesse: che il corpo può tornare a essere un alleato, che si può ricominciare a scegliere cose che ci fanno stare bene, che ci fanno sentire di nuovo noi.E per me, in questa fase della vita, questo vale più di qualsiasi etichetta o trend.

I love these skirts and purchased a different make of one last year having spent ages looking at the reviews to choose the best and so, when this came up on the Vine programme, with the Army Green colour, I was so pleased to request it.I am a 14/16 and requested a large size, it fits well enough but, it is a close fit. The waistbands are of a wide, black elastic with the tulle stitched on, you could invert the waistband if you don't want the black band to show but this will shorten the skirt by a couple of inches and cause it to stick out a bit at the top. I reckon even a 14/16 could go up a size but, reviewing the measurements on the side chart, there is not much in it.There appear to be more layers at the top making the skirt flouncy but, 1/3 down the layers and, the tulle thins out and, the lining stops above the knee so, think mini skirt, leaving the bottom half of the skirt see through. This is fine for a teen or young person, but us mature souls also love to wear a gorgeous flouncy skirt like this and, it would be so much prettier and more flattering on, if another layer of tulle were added to the length and, the lining were longer - just a longer lining would make all the difference - in fact, I am going to look out some lining fabric and lengthen the lining myself. Come the colder months wearing this with dark tights and boots, the translucency of the bottom half of the skirt will probably not be so apparent but it will be in the summer, which is a shame.I love the Army Green colour, makes it wearable during the day because you just want to wear something floaty but, it's eminently dress up-able for the evening and so long as these skirts remain fashionable, this is a versatile addition to a wardrobe.Having already researched and, purchased a similar skirt, it's about par on price at £14.99 and, it is a lovely skirt but, I do wish the lining were longer and the lower tulle layers were not so skimpy. I hesitated between giving this 3 or 4 * but, it's not an expensive item, it's not perfect but it's fun.

It still does the job of keeping the skirt from being see-through, but depending on the lighting, you might want to wear nude-toned undergarments just to be safe. That said, it doesn’t take away from the overall charm and wearability of the skirt.It’s one of those pieces that, when you wear it, people will compliment you and probably ask where you got it from—and you’ll feel a little extra special just floating through the day. I already know I’m going to be reaching for this skirt whenever I want to add a little drama and romance to my outfit without much effort. An absolute delight!

I like nothing better than a funky tutu for wearing in a festival field and this looked like a perfect alternative. I chose a red colour as this is one, I am likely to wear more often – given that in the winter I could also team this with thick tights and stompy boots. I really like the drape on the skirt and the fact that the underskirt is only halfway down – leaving you more exposed at the bottom – yet still giving good coverage for decency. There are several layers of tulle – but it doesn’t quite hang like the picture does and I’m not sure how well it is going to hold up to washing. Aside from these negatives, it is well priced and looks super on. The fit is good and there is some stretch in the waistband meaning it is comfortable to wear. Love the range of colours this is available in so you are sure to find one that fits your mood and personality.

It's OK but a bit longer than I wanted.Came as a flat pack, had to wash and dry to make it look a bit better.Lightweight and colour is lovely but the fit is not quite right, not very flattering.. doesn't look like the photo when wearing it.Could be just my body shape, it didn't fit as I expected.

A lovely looking skirt, and I especially love the dusty pink colour. I'm a size 16/18 and got the XXL, which is perfect and not tight at all. Works dressing up and down. For the price of currently £14.99 I find this one amazing value for money.
