I had several items to embroider for Christmas that seemed to cry out for a shiny gold thread. BUT I didn't want to mess with a metallic. This rayon embroidery thread has that sheen!The large spool was easy to use by just setting it in a cup near the front of my machine (but not close to the "fly wheel" where it might get pulled in). Never had a problem with it feeding off the spool altho I did notice some twisting.The price is right and the quality rivals any brand I've used.If you're interested in stitching with rayon, give this a try. Although this seems like the perfect color for what I need, as soon as I took off the cellophane, the thread started spilling off of the cone on both the top and the bottom, and I can’t seem to find the beginning of the cone thread. Not sure how much of this I’m going to have to waste until I find it - probably won’t buy this brand again, as there’s no ‘catch’ at either the top or the bottom to keep the thread wound tightly when not in use.
