I had bought one 30 years ago, and it still somehow worked but had become a bit noisy. This replacement works quiet: the slots though could be a bit wider.

Quality is very good will make you the same kind of toast that you have when going to a café. Unfortunately is one of the last still made in Europe. All the parts are easy to replace and available in case that a repair is required. Very good product, highly recommend!

We've had this toaster for almost a year now. A considered purchase - and we bought the Dualit dome kettle to complement it so some hard thinking was required - it has proved well worth the money. We would thoroughly recommend it. It is - there's no denying - good to have objects about you that are visually appealing. It is even better to have objects where function is equal to form. The Dualit 2+2 Stainless Steel Toaster looks great - and performs well every time. It is very easy to use and very easy to achieve the perfectly browned toast of your dreams consistently. I'd say this is the most versatile toaster in the Dualit range - four slices, or three, two or one if you prefer without the need to employ all four heating elements. It's ecologically sound - saves energy and no built in obsolescence in that replacement parts are available. The sandwich cages produce really excellent toasted sandwiches too. The sort of toast this toaster produces is very akin to toast cooked on an eye level gas grill; the exterior is crispy, the interior quite moist - not all hard and dried up. You genuinely appear to get better toast from this Dualit - an experience that should last many years into the future given the robustness of the design. Good value in the end - it will spare you years of buying cheap, short-lived inferior equivalents. Go on, take the plunge!
