It's pretty much a standard amount of reasonable padding for a laptop sleeve. I've seen sleeves that are literally just sleeves offering basically no shock absorption. Thankfully this isn't like that at all. But I've seen some with more padding still for the majority of this sleeve.The "super corners'" effectiveness is a bit arguable I think. I haven't done a drop test so can't say for sure, but they're just firm silicone pads it seems. They offer rigidity at the corners so will protect the corners of your laptop if you drop them and the laptop was to land on a corner. But if the laptop were to land on the flat side or the long edge, I don't think these pads will really do anything. Might be helpful if they added another pair to protect the long edges.It's nice they added the pocket in front so that you can fit in peripherals, chargers, and whatnot. It's pretty unsightly after I'm done stuffing it, but utility is utility.It's a fairly nice product but I'm not sure it's honestly worth the cost ($70 as of this writing). You can get a laptop bag with more drop protection and storage capacity and still save money.
