Used it on a Eee PC 901 with a "Kingshark Gamer mSATA 128GB". Works great. If you want no bios warnings on boot, remove or replace the 4GB Asus SSD that shipped in it. This basically requires disassembly of the entire thing below the screen. If you're kept reading this far into this review, this product may be for you.

My ancient Asus Eee PC 901 is a handy little laptop and worked quite well once I replaced Win XP with Linux. However, the disks were small and EXTREMELY slow.With the aid of a used mSATA SSD picked up for a song and this handy board the problem was completely resolved. Fitting was dead easy as the larger of the two drives is easily accessible though the bottom of the laptop.I upgraded the BIOS at the same time as I read online that this was needed.When booted the laptop complains that no IDE master has been detected (the new drive appears as a slave). All you have to do is press F1 to continue the boot process. I understand that there are ways around this, but I haven't found it necessary to investigate them.

Alcuni eeePC (es. il 901) hanno un SSD miniPCIE 30x70mm sostituibile smontando il pannello inferiore.Purtroppo è molto difficile trovare SSD miniPCIE, mentre si trovano ancora facilmente gli mSATA, che sono simili ma incompatibili.Questo adattatore permette di montare un mSATA come se fosse un miniPCIE: così si può sostituire l'SSD con uno più grande e veloce.Temevo che l'ingombro complessivo fosse tale da impedire di richiudere lo sportellino; invece non ci sono stati problemi.

funktioniert in verbindung mitYUCUN MSATA III Interne Solid State Drive 128GB SSDim asus eee pc 901ich erreiche damit natürlich nicht die top-geschwindigkeit, aber es reicht für einen atom n270, der - siehe benchmark - sowieso bottlenecked.die msata ssd wird allerdings als primary master erkannt, obwohl im primary slave verbaut. damit man nicht bei jedem start einen f1-bootfehler bekommt, muss man mit gparted gparted-live-0.13.1-2.iso folgendes machen:Getestet und bestätigt habe ich diese Anleitung mit BIOS-Version 2103, 2001.Was diese Anleitung konkret macht ist eine EFI-Partition zu erstellen, von der die Startdaten des Gerätes geladen werden können. In diesen ist vermerkt, dass man schon mal F1 wegen dem Fehler gedrückt hat, deswegen überspringt der EeePC diese Meldung dann.- Ist mit der GParted CD gestartet worden, muss die Windows XP-Partition verkleinert werden, sodass am Ende der SSD ca. 40MB freier Speicher vorhanden sind.- Danach wird bei den 40MB eine primäre, jedoch unformatierte Partition erstellt. Jene Bezeichnung dieser 40MB Partition (etwa /dev/sda2) muss man sich merken.- Nun wird das Terminal gestartet (Icon am Desktop).- Im Terminal gibt man nun folgendes ein (bitte das Leerzeichen zwischen sda und 2 beachten):sudo sfdisk --change-id /dev/sda 2 ef- Wenn alles geklappt hat, dann gibt der folgende Befehl ef zurück:sudo sfdisk --print-id /dev/sda 2- Nun beendet man GParted, startet neu und geht via F2 ins BIOS.- Im BIOS findet sich unter dem Reiter Boot nun die Funktion Boot Boster und sollte aktiv sein.- Speichern Sie die BIOS-Einstellungen und starten Sie neu. Ehe Windows bootet wird noch einmal ein F1-Fehler angezeigt.- Ab sofort wird bei jedem Neustart und Einschalten des EeePC direkt zu Windows gebootet, sofern dieses zuvor korrekt heruntergefahren wurde. Sollte ein Reset notwendig sein bzw. nicht korrekt heruntergefahren worden sein, kommt einmalig wieder der F1 Fehler.

Come da titolo è stato acquistato per montare un SSD da 120Gb in un vecchio eeepc 900 e funziona perfettamente, è l'eeepc 900 che risulta ormai obsoleto!

utilizzato su un eeepc 900A, è riuscito ad esumarlo non è mai stato così veloce nell'accesso al disco, ovviamente va abbinato ad un SSD mSata. Consigliato

Perfettamente funzionante con asus EEEPC 900, mi ha permesso di dotarlo di un capiente Hardisk SSD da 250 mb.
