Que dire à propos du BOSU ? C'est du matériel professionnel très intéressant pour de la proprioception ou pour complexifier des exercices.

We originally saw this at Sports Authority and liked the demo.Honestly, we don 't use it to its potential, but it is fun to break it out and strengthen our core/legs/ankles while balancing, as well as using it for challenging push ups. Our young son likes to bounce on it along with using as a starter for backwards rolls!

The BOSU balance trainer can be found in virtually any serious gym. It has a unique and very durable design that adds a new angle to your workout routine. It's good for cardio, strength, and flexibility training for your entire body. As far as the exercises go, there's an included training DVD that I've yet to fully go through. I tried the ab workouts a few times and I was too weak to keep up with the trainer. There's a ton of awesome things you can do with this thing. It's quite simple to set up: Take the included foot pump and stick the nozzle into the hole. Inflate the ball to around 10 inches in total height and no more than 12 inches as the instructions say. You then remove the nozzle and quickly insert the plug all the way. I assume the stopper is difficult to remove, but at least you can take comfort knowing it won't pop out and hit you in the eye. It takes up quite a bit of space so make sure you have somewhere to store it. Leaving the BOSU trainer around will entice any house guests to immediately set foot upon it while asking what it is.The BOSU trainer is a little pricey but the durability and versatility definitely make up for it. I seriously wouldn't recommend a knock-off for fear of it popping and injuring yourself. Note that there is a professional version that includes a more heavy duty gut (ball) and base design that does not have little rubber feet but rather a rubberized base that is light gray in color. This might be designed for the really buff/heavy guys as the home version holds up pretty well to any jumping I've done on it (I'm 137 lbs). It takes some time to build up your stabilization muscles to do more workouts, but keep at it. As always, it is a piece of workout equipment and it won't get the results for you. Awesome product overall.

I love my BOSU. The Pump worked just fine, although it would have been nice if I could have used the electric pump I use for my air mattresses. I also would have wished for a valve that wouldn't have let the air out between removing the pump and inserting the plug. It took me 4 tries before I got it to stay inflated to the suggested 10". I am 70 and not as quick as you younger people. I have had it for a month now, and when not in use it gets stored on it's side wherever I can fine a spot out of the way in my small apt., with no problems. I got the plain one, but on hind sight I would recommend the one with the support bar for us older folks. I also like the fact that the DVD gives you so many different exercises and the ability to work up from very beginner to more advanced.I believe it was money well spent. I had 2 day free shipping and it arrived right on time.

I was introduced to this at my gym with my trainer and decided I needed one for home use. This product is so versatile! I compared this "home" version with other versions available and can't see a difference between this one and the professional version. I thought maybe the prof. version was more heavy-duty, but if you compare the measurements and weight of the product, they are exactly the same. So I went with the less expensive "home" version and couldn't be happier. I weigh in the 240's and this product supports me just fine.Be sure to flip the thing over and use it with the rounded side down too. Put one foot in the center and bend the other leg for an excellent balance exercise. The little book that comes with it never mentions any exercises for the rounded side down and I don't know why not? BOSU means "Both Sides Up". Great product.
