Good, but will raise your Cars ride height. Please Google search for "BMW E46 bilstein struts b4 sport ride height" and you'll see many forums expressing the same issue. The gist of it is people are going the blame the install, but that's not it. I've tried three different configurations where seating the spring applies(uninstalling and reinstalling 3x), and at the best setup, the wheel gap is ~2 inches. The best I could do is 642mm measured from the bottom of the wheel rim and the fender edge of the wheel well. This measurement is after two weeks installed. According to the Bentley manual, this is off by 40mm with my 18 factory rims(602mm) the MOE is +/- 10mm. It's way too high.The only way to fix the height at this point is to either buy Sachs OEM struts, or get lowering springs.Visibly, the strut shaft itself is longer when compared to OEM sashes that I replaced (view Photo attached). Thought it was due to the old strut being so worn out, but that was not the case I learned. I compared this sport version to the bilstein non-sport (which I originally purchased from eBay and realized I got the non-sport/wrong strut for my car. The ride height there was not much better) and the shaft is shorter in length by about one inch comparing side by side. So the sport bilstein is shorter than the non-sport bilstein. But it doesn't help the ride height.As far as the ride itself, it's good. Great even. Just the ride height makes it look not like stock.I'm giving five stars because the seller is excellent. I expressed my concern and even though this problem is not their fault (it's bilsteins) they offered to accept a return even after it was installed and used for about a week.My suggestion is to go with Sachs OEM. If you don't care about the final look, then these will be a fine replacement.I will keep this seller among those I will purchase from in the future. Can't say enough good things about them
