PRODUCT: Heavy duty postal scales.PACKAGING: Plain cardboard box.FUNCTION: This came very well packaged within a plain, brown cardboard box that had an inner box for extra protection. The scales were wrapped in a clear plastic bag, while the USB charging cable, batteries, wall fixings and user manual were tucked away, to the rear.The user manual is printed on glossy paper in a booklet format. The first two pages are dedicated to the UK. I did not even read the instructions because the device is so simple to use.The scales are made from metal and they are pretty weighty. It measures 34cm x 28cm. The top surface has a checker plate design, similar to non-slip aluminum flooring. There is a slot in the rear which stores away the control panel, which is attached via a spiral extendable cord. The control box has mounting holes on the rear, and the cord can be stretched, so the panel can be mounted at eye level. This is very useful, especially if you are using the scales on the floor.The control panel came with some charge, so I could test it straight away. Normally, it accepts 2 x AAA batteries in the rear (provided) or it can be charged via the USB cable (provided). You can alternate the scale readings to show Kg, oz, lb, lb/oz. The LCD display is a good size, plus it illuminates in use and is easy to read.As soon as I saw this product I immediately thought how ideal it would be for weighing my dog. My dog is a Shih Tzu, so relatively small. The scales were just the right size. He was able to get all four legs on and then sit down without having to be manipulated by me. He did not slide or feel unstable, thanks to the non-slip metal grid top and the anti slip rubber feet on my tile floor. The 'hold' function' was very useful, as it enabled me to save the reading while my dog got off the scales. The scales are also very easy to clean. I shall be finding a permanent spot for the scales on the floor in my utility room, and I will be mounting the control panel at eye level.At the time of this review (March 2025) the digital scales were £56. If you have the space to have scales of this size permanently set up, ready to use, then you should, because its a shame to hide them away. They are top quality and robust. This has saved me on trips to the vets to monitor my dogs weight. I would recommend.

I got this to weigh parcels that I ship regularly. It helps me with online purchasing of labels to know exactly how much something weighs saving me a lot of time at the post office. This took 15 seconds to set up. It comes with batteries and also a charging cord for the lithium battery which is also an option for power supply. It definitely works best on a stable hard surface. That gives the most accurate weight. This is so great for smaller items that won't register on my typical scale. It has been a game changer making shipping so much easier for me.

Ich habe die Waage in erster Linie bestellt, weil ich regelmäßig Gasflaschen auswiegen muss. Es ist ärgerlich, wenn mitten in einer Veranstaltung das Gas zum Grillen leer ist, bzw. irgendwer lieber eine volle angebrochen hat, weil keiner wusste wieviel in den angebrochenen noch drin ist.Bis jetzt war das Auswiegen ein echtes Galama. Ich habe zwar eine Waage, die das Gewicht könnte, da passt aber die Gasflasche vom Durchmesser her nicht drauf. Spoileralarm: mit einer Kofferwaage, die man mit in den Urlaub nimmt, geht es nicht! ;-).Blieb also nur: ohne Flasche auf die Waage, Gewicht merken, mit Flasche drauf, stillhalten (ganz toll mit zwanzig Kilo im Arm), mein Gewicht und das Eigengewicht der Flasche abziehen- dann hatte ich wenigstens ungefähr die Menge Gas, die noch drin ist. Alle fanden das immer sehr lustig, nur ich nicht.Bestechend an dieser Waage ist, dass sich das Display nicht direkt auf der Waage befindet, sondern mittels Kabel angeschlossen wird. Das erleichtert das Ablesen ungemein, bzw. macht es erst zuverlässig möglich. Große Koffer auf einer normalen Personenwaage auszuwiegen scheitert ja auch manchmal daran, dass man das Display nicht mehr ablesen kann, wenn der Koffer drauf steht. Bei Nichtbenutzung kann man das Display in einen Schacht an der Waage schieben.Die Waage macht einen robusten und gut verarbeiteten Eindruck. Sie ist erstaunlich leicht, so dass man sie gut transportieren kann. (Nein, ich meine damit nicht, dass man sie mit in den Urlaub nehmen kann/ soll ;-).)Bei meinen Urlaubskoffern ist das Gewicht nur minimal von der Waage am Flughafen abgewichen, also kann man sich wohl darauf verlassen.Ich habe absolut nichts gefunden, was ich kritisieren könnte.

This scale is marketed primarily for the purpose of weighing shipping materials, but it can function perfectly well as an at home bathroom scale or for other uses around the house or shop. The only aspect that may be a little odd for home use is that the control/display is a standalone piece that attaches to the base with a spiral extendable cord. This can be mounted on a wall or other surface with provided screws, or you can leave it haphazardly sitting out, or you can slide the remote into a pocket on the bottom/back of the scale (but note that the spiral cord will still be hanging out!).The scale controls are very easy to understand and operate. You can toggle the units of measurement between ounces, pounds, pounds + ounces, or kilograms. There are dedicated hold and tare buttons, the latter of which I find quite useful for measuring the weight of things that I’m holding or wearing. The scale is quick to measure and display the weight, adjusting with roughly 0.7 ounce/0.02 kg resolution. Unless the thing you are weighing is shifting around quite a bit, it quickly settles on a measurement and locks in, flashing to show that it’s done.5/5 stars. Despite the nonconventional remote operation and display, I find that I quite like it as a general purpose household or shop scale. It works very well, very quickly, and is easy to use. It even looks pretty cool! The fact that it goes all the way up to 660 pounds is terrific. I’m not sure how well it might stand up to abuse, like tossing car wheels on it, for example. I plan to treat mine a little more gingerly than that, and I expect that it should last quite a while. Recommended, and a good value at $34 at the time I ordered it.
