This is a good kit containing everything you need to swap the battery in the 15" '18 MBP. The entire process took about 10 minutes with most of that time spent un/screwing the base. The battery itself is plug and play and the system detects the new pack right away with its BMS data visible in third party diagnostic tools like coconutbattery.Don't pay for the overpriced out of warranty service and do it yourself. Battery replacement is probably the easiest "repair" you can do on any laptop.

Very easy to install in the MBP 15 2018, it takes more time to unscrew the back then to install the battery, its almost plug and play.I put it back together, the battery is detected and thats it.

Laptop batteries are generally typically not so difficult to replace - you just need to have the confidence to crack into your laptop and then put everything back together. It's VERY nice that it comes with all the tools you need.After the first few weeks, battery life seems to be just as good as the original battery... so that's a good start! (That said, I never timed how long the original battery would last on a single charge... but this feels like it's surely in the same ballpark.) Only time will tell if it has the tremendous original Apple battery lifespan, but so far so good!

Desde hace un par de años que tenía la batería dañada de mi MacBook Pro 15" (retina). Cuando lo noté, fui a servicio técnico de Mac y me dijeron que me saldría más económico comprar una nueva laptop, lo que me pareció absurdo. Hasta que vi un documental en Netflix que habla de la empresa "iFixit" y me sentí muy identificado con esta situación. Entonces empecé a buscar el tutorial en su página de cómo cambiar la batería y no me pareció tan complicado como decían. Fue ahí que decidí buscarla por Amazon, ya que en iFixit venden todo, pero no llega a México.Acabo de hacer el cambio de la batería y fue muy sencillo, sólo que hay un paso que no lo comentan en el instructivo que vi en la página de iFixit:"Antes de comenzar, debes desactivar la función de arranque automático de tu Mac. El Auto Boot se enciende en tu Mac cuando abres la tapa y puede activarse accidentalmente durante el desmontaje. Usa esta guía o sigue las instrucciones abreviadas a continuación para deshabilitar el inicio automático. Este comando podría no funcionar en todas las Macs.- Enciende tu Mac y ejecuta Terminal.- Copia y pega el siguiente comando (o escríbelo exactamente) en la Terminal:sudo nvram AutoBoot=%00-Presiona [return]. Si se te solicita, introduce tu contraseña de administrador y vuelve a pulsar [return]. Nota: La tecla de retorno también puede estar etiquetada como ⏎ o "enter".-Ahora puedes apagar con seguridad tu Mac y abrir la carcasa inferior, sin que se encienda accidentalmente.- Cuando hayas finalizado la reparación y hayas vuelto a montar tu Mac, vuelve a habilitar el inicio automático con el siguiente comando:sudo nvram AutoBoot=%03"Dejo también las instrucciones en una captura de pantalla, esto es IMPORTANTE porque las Mac no se apagan por completo por defecto. Es por ello que para que no se gasten ciclos, hay que tenerla siempre conectada. Al menos mientras sea posible.Con las instrucciones en papel que trae este kit, me guiaba sobre todo del color de los destornilladores (desarmadores), pero como tal se me hizo más fácil seguir un video que encontré en otro producto 😅. Este kit no trae el líquido para despegar el adhesivo, pero yo usé unas gotitas de alcohol, porque sí estaba bien pegada la batería original.Espero que esta batería me dure mucho tiempo 🙏.
