This replaced a dead battery in an older model UPS. Perfect fit and it works well. Prevented me from throwing out the UPS housing when it just needed a battery replacement. Highly recommended!

I wanted an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) replacement, so I bought this battery. My old battery was about 7 years old, so I went ahead and bought a new one before the old one gave out completely. I use this UPS in the bedroom to maintain a constant source electrical power for the cable box. I live in Florida, and the Electric Company (FPL) is always switching equipment, which causes brief interruptions (1-2 seconds) in power. If I didn't have a UPS there, the cable box would have to reset which takes a few minutes, which is very annoying if you are watching a TV program.

Dimensions are critical for fitting snugly into APC's UPS Backup systems. The size is stated as 6.02 x 2.09 x 3.94 inches. I was concerned whether it would fit into my APC UPS system, because that's a bit larger than the size of the original battery, which is 5.88 x 1.98 x 3.63 (without terminals) and 5.88 x 1.98 x 4.06 (with terminals). If the size were as stated, it would not have fit. Thankfully, the replacement had the exact same dimensions as the original, and was an exact fit into my APC UPS system.
