I needed an adapter to upgrade my old dash cam's hardwire kit to work with a smart screen/dash camera device. The hardwire kit keeps the camera from running down the battery when it gets below a certain voltage. Many old dash cams used USB-mini format, so that's why the hardwire kit used that format. This adapter offers a quick solution with installing a new hardwire kit into my vehicle's fuse box. The only issue I experienced is the space to fit the USB-C plug is too tight for the adapter, so it's crammed in at an angle. I did not take that into account, but I was able to make the connection and power up the screen though. I guess if I break the adapter, at least I have four extras to replace it with.

There’s not much to say about these adapters other than they work perfectly and are incredibly handy to have around. I still use a few older devices with mini USB ports, and these adapters have made connecting them to modern Type C cables a breeze.They’re compact, reliable, and do exactly what they’re supposed to without any fuss. If you’re looking for a straightforward solution to bridge the gap between old and new devices, these adapters are a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

This pack of 5 adapters cost the same as, and in many cases less than, what everyone else wanted for 2 adapters. I imagine there are many like me who are looking to use these with existing hardwired dashcam setups; to that end, these adapters are (so far) working with my four Viofo cams that are all hardwired using cheap no-name kits from 2017. No further modifications necessary.One common complaint for adapters like these is that they're so cheaply manufacturered that one insertion and/or removal of a male plug is enough to knock the internals loose inside the casing. I didn't bother testing this insert/remove cycle more than 4-5 times per adapter, mostly because I didn't want my wife to think I'd completely lost the plot, but I can say that all adapters survived that simple test.Another common issue is that the female end of the plug is partially occluded by the casing due to poor mfg/QC. The adapter in the bottom left of my image appears to have this issue, but in actual usage nothing blocked the male end of a plug from going in smoothly.The only thing I'd ding these on are for being fairly large for what they are. Expect the footprint of your cam setups to grow, massively so if your cam takes power on the left or right sides. But since none of that impacts functionality, 5 stars from me.

Nice, simple item if you just need a format change, i used it for a dash cam but could be used for anything going from Mini USB female to USB-C Male
