The item is ok but be wary because the pictures are wrong, the up shows a pic of down and the down shows a picture of the up. Either that or I've been sent the wrong one.

Rien a dire, j'ai du prendre un cable 90 degrés pour pouvoir coller un meuble juste derriere la prise ethernet (murale), le cable est tres fin, me permet de garder ma vitesse d'1GB/s. Bref, je recommande.

i have had so much trouble with this cable that suppose to be 1GB ready, but the last 6 months my connection goes from 1000MB to !00MB just flips for no reason, and stupid me forgot about me buying this so i looked everywhere else for the problem other than this cable. the only reason i remembered about it was because i was going to replace the cable... Anyway it worked good for awhile..

New Dell laptop has Ethernet jack with spring loaded bottom. Ethernet cable plugged into it would lose connection intermittently because of the cable bending toward the rear of the laptop. This adapter provides a 90deg connector that eliminates the bend in the cable. I've been using this adapter for a couple of weeks and I have not seen the intermittent Ethernet connection issue. It's not optimal to have a two part Ethernet cable between computer and switch, but it seems to be working and not causing any issues like shifting Ethernet link speed from 1Gbps to 100Mbps. So far, so good.
