I've been making jewellery for sometime now and never new there was such a thing as a bead spinner, until obtaining these needles. My intentions were to thread the beads one by one manually and then transfer them to the beading cord, its relaxing but ever so boring. Discovering Bead Spinner is not a brand name but a complete different tool all together I knew that I had to get one not just to test these out but to progress my jewellery making skills. These needs are way better then the ones that came with my bead spinner kit and feel stronger although they are probably made out of the same material I couldn't find my Callipers to test the thickness of each needle. Needles to say I got the hang of it fairly quickly (thank you YouTube) and have gone on to make several bracelets necklaces and tassels using these needs and they are still going strong. Its a great hobby, and these needles have saved me an incredible amount of time

My children hope to have a stall at the school Christmas Fair, raising money for charity by selling bracelets they make themselves. The problem is, when beading -- especially when using small beads -- they can become frustrated and bored threading each tiny bead by hand onto the thread. So, I did my research and found a spinner (that came with two curved bead threaders) to buy. The children enjoy it and can easily make 5 or 6 bracelets within a few minutes. Much more interesting to spend more time picking colour combinations and bead varieties, less time manually threading beads! The only issue is, these needles can be a bit fragile. I think that's more a trait of ALL these kinds of needles, rather than this pack of 5 specifically. We have already snapped one curved bead threading spinner needles that came with the spinner and then one of these needles that I'm reviewing. So, based on our very limited sample size, I'd guess that these are no more or less likely to break than any other curved bead needles you might purchase/ use. A friend who is an experienced beader says that once you get used to the spinner, you will break fewer and fewer of these needles, so perhaps it's a matter of skill of the user, too.
