I had the exact same experience as the other reviewer - not only is the pinout of the product non-standard, the data negative is not connected at all! And to think that they are charging so much for this trash..

Appears to be a completely non standard pinout. The pictures show pin 1 as ground, pin 2 as data + and pin 3 as data -. Two and three should be swapped.But that's not all. Ground was connected to pin 3 internally and data - was not connected at all.Got it working after resoldering everything

These cables do exactly what they should do, allowing you to run DMX signals through standard Ethernet cabling. Clearly these are designed to be plugged into an Ethernet patch board, but with a couple of female-female adapters you can go directly to a standard cable with RJ45 plugs.In testing a 20m Cat-7 cable was used, connecting to a single fixture. This all worked fine and didn't seem to require a DMX terminator either. I tested running DMX at 40Hz which is the highest my test set-up could run at. After testing this I found a 35m Cat-6 cable (sorry no pictures) but that worked perfectly too.

So I got this set of adapters not checking the image and it was only when I received them I noticed that the cables have matching ethernet ends. This seems very strange as normally this would be ok for say something like Dante or networked DMX connectivity but the whole design of these is to extend the signal over a Cat 5 cable. With this in mind I would have said that the ethernet should have either both been the opposite connector so a standard Cat 5 cable could be used between them or if you are using Ethercon then there should be a male and female ethernet end in the pack. Very strange indeed.I used crimped an ethernet cable with matching ends and was able to run a basic 4 channel DMX signal through them so the cable works ok I just can't understand the use of the pack how it is.

cavo XLR 3 poli a RJ45lo utilizzerò per testare velocemente i cavi XLR tramite un semplice tester per cavi Catfunzionano senza problemi.non consiglio a nessuno di utilizzare questo cavo per convertire in Cat, si rischia di avere interferenze e ronzecomunque è fatto bene e fa quello che mi serve
