I saw some reviews that said it looked like someone copied it. That is not true.Or that it isn't Hal Lenard. It is.It probably looks different from newer material because it was done in the 80s. Transcribed and printed.They aren't going to go back and redo something they already did 30 years ago. They may have updated their font or otherwise, maybe some notation, but it is real.I have old Yngiwe books from the 80s and it is the same.This is great having such a spanning collection of tracks across so many records.

I purchased this to replace some of my older Van Halen books that were put out by Guitar magazine in the 80s and 90s. My old books were in the basement and accidentally got thrown out one day while we were cleaning.Those older Guitar magazine tab books were always excellent, and the more modern guitar tab books I've bought have rarely lived up to the quality and accuracy of those older books and magazines, so I was very skeptical about whether the songs in this book would really be accurate.I'm happy to say that they are excellent. I have a lot of Van Halen guitar parts memorized from playing them for so many years, and I can definitely say that this book has the parts exactly the way that I learned them from those other books years ago. It's as good as any other guitar tab book I've ever owned.Another area I was worried about was how good the legend for symbols such as bends, hammer ons, taps, dives, etc. would be presented. Again, the old Guitar magazine tabs had this down to a science, and a lot of new guitar books I've purchased have terrible notations for these types of items. Again, I was very happy to see how these items are presented in this book. All of the symbols are logical, easy to read, and make perfect sense when you are going through the songs.I'm very happy with this book and would recommend it to anyone who is considering buying it.
