They are very good for catching small shrimplets. The net opening is very small, and the net stays 3D underwater. The extendable handle is very useful, too. I recently bought them, so I cannot comment on the rust or material quality. It bends very easily tho so be careful.

I use duckweed to help remove excess nutrients from my two aquariums. It works well but requires regular removal due to its rapid growth. I use these for removing the excess duck weed once a week. They work really well for this as well as transferring newly purchased small fish and shrimp from the bags to the aquariums after acclimatising.It is also very useful that they are telescopic.

These probably work very well for scooping up tiny brine shrimp. As for scooping up fish poop, plant leaves and small debris maybe not so great as the net portion is more like a stiff cup that passes water rather slowly so it can be difficult to squeeze between aquatic plants without uprooting them a little and it kind of swirls the debris around since the water barely goes through the net. Well made.

Was looking for a fish net to catch debris in our hot tub. Fits the bill to a tee.
